Colin Bowden had, to date, led a disillusioned life and had fallen prey to an existence of violence, a broken home, petty crime, and continuous drifting.
Instead of being sentenced to a second term in Brixton for repeatedly breaking the law, Colin is sent to St Matthews, a behavioural and correctional hospital hidden away in the Wiltshire countryside.
After a short period in St Mathews, Colin begins to realise that he would have been safer in Brixton, or anywhere else for that matter.
